Training them Young

Speaking of being a proud Mommy, I forgot to tell you all that my 7 year old wanted to go to Wicked for her Birthday.

.

That was a very proud moment for me as I think all civilized children should be in love with the theater as much as I was when I was a kid.
.

She also wanted to go to a teppan restaurant, for chicken and rice.

.

I am pretty sure there is a 25 year old trapped in my 7 year old's body.
.
It was a great night!!!!!

They grow up TOO FAST!!!

When you give birth and you are in the midst of diaper changes and what seems like your millionth bottle for the day, you never really think about the day you will be sending your first child to kindergarten.
.
.
My first born child is in the final prepping stages for his journey to school, and I have to be honest, it is harder to send them into the big bad world than I thought it would be.
.
.
Brandon is finally mastering the writing of his name, and keeping the lower case letters below the dotted line. Incredibly his genius sister is not that far behind him.

I am one proud Mommy today!!!

Mom....is there anything harder???

Today was probably one of the hardest parenting days I have ever had. I had to send my 5 year old to my Ex's house to teach him a lesson about how good he has it here.

I am having a most difficult time with him. If there is any parent out there that can spare their parenting manual, I would love to borrow it. I seem to have lost mine!

3 Questions...

When you first see this picture you may think to yourself, What a cute picture of Elise!
.
.
But I would like you to examine the picture more closely as you will notice the women that is probably a good 220-230 lbs, with her "sexy" g-string clinging ever so tightly to her large back side.
.
.
.
.
.

I have 3 questions to ask, and I will just leave it at that.
.
.
1. Why do they make "sexy" underwear in this size? (I know when I was that big I wasn't tryin' to have my giant butt eat a very tiny string that would cause major discomfort all day.)
.
2. Why did she not feel her underwear that were not merely peaking out her pants, but were so far out of her drawers that we now know the brand and size?
.
3. Finally, why didn't her friend mention her little (or not so little) backside indiscrestion? Isn't that what friends are for?

My Tired Sissy

Sissy was so wiped out from a long hard day of playing with Grandma that she passed out right in the middle of her dinner.

Considering how much my family likes to eat......thats saying somethin'.

Why Mom, Why???

So, we took a couple of hours on Saturday to have a little fun inspite of the circumstances in lieu of Mother's Day. I will take more time to dicuss the fun later at a more appropriate time. The first thing I would like to point out is the almost 80 lbs. my mom has lost and how amazing she is feeling and looking....

But, the true purpose for this addition to my blog is discuss the travesty of my Mother's pant choice. She is an amazing women, mother, and grandmother, yet for some ungodly reason she found these pants to be a good choice for going out in public!!
.
.
I realize I may not be an icon for fashion or a trend setter by any means...
But,
Need I say more?

Fat Sucks!!!

So....I am determined to get this last 20 lbs off.

.

I was suckered into buying the body bug. It is an awesome contraption that tells me how many calories I burn in a day. I love this little thing. Did you know that you can burn 800 calories mowing the lawn. Isn't that fantastic!! Zach and I also discovered a quick way to burn calories (300-500) at the end of the day if I have had one too many pieces of chocolate!

.

I will let you use your imagination on that one.
