Brandon is a "Big Boy" now!!

Brandon started Kindergarten on Wednesday, and we was so stinkin' happy and cute.

I was so proud. He didn't cry, he wasn't worried, and he was ready to face the big bad world.

I forgot to get a pic of the squash before I cut it up, but this is just one squash. I couldn't believe how big it was.

Grass at the tomb???

The Children's latest church project

We are growing grass!!!

For those of you who were raised in church you are very familiar with VBS, or Vacation Bible School. The kids went to an awesome vacation bible school this that was themed around outer space and it was a lot of fun.
.
.
In one of their craft classes they planted grass seeds outside of a popcicle stick cross and a garden rock tomb. The grass is in full bloom.
.
.
My question is, Why are they asking the children to grow grass around the tomb and at the foot of the cross. Is it a metaphor for planting a seed of Christ? I didn't really get, but the good news is that the grass is flourishing!!!

My Incredible shrinking Mom

This is my Mom....minus 100 lbs. She hit the 100 lb mark a week or so ago and is looking fantastic.

This Picture isn't the best to illustrate how much weight she has lost, but it is gone. She is a whole new Mom and I am so proud.

Garden Update!!

Summer Vacation!!

Well, for the 3 of you that read my blog, I am back! We took our family vacation in the form of a road trip to S. Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore.
